Ana M. Banana holds a Ph.D. in Applied Anthropology from Oregon State University, where her dissertation explored the socialization of women in Brazil, delving into issues of identity, race, and power within the context of the global social economy. With a Master's degree, also from Oregon State, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Virginia Tech, Ana brings a rich educational background to her academic and research pursuits. She has extensive teaching experience, currently serving as an instructor in the Department of Applied Anthropology at Oregon State University, where she leads multiple sections of Comparative Cultures. Ana is passionate about cross-cultural education and has successfully arranged study abroad programs, enhancing students' understanding of complex social dynamics in Brazil.
